Stupid Trash Man!

What's with the trash guys? The idiot emptied our trash, but didn't empty it! It's not like he has to get out of his truck to pick it up by hand, the thing has this handy claw on the side and that does all the work. I went to put the thing back in it's little hiding place on the side of the house and found that it was still half full!

I'm interested now to see what happens this week. :)

So, Dubby finds it amusing that I've actually used the word alacrity. I'm not sure what to make of that. Believe it or not, folks, but I have a pretty large vocabulary. It comes from all the reading. Speaking of which, I haven't done as much of that recently as I'd like, so I think I'll start reading another book. Probably the next one in the "Stone of Truth" series by Terry Goodkind. Any of you who like fantasy, will enjoy this series. There's also a love story buried in all the coolness, so it'll appeal to lots. :)

Hmmm... Perhaps I should start reviewing some of the books I have to see if I can get some of you to read some of them. This is something I should consider... I could have a posting for AT LEAST every day of the year. It's worth considering... Would you all like to see something like that? Let me know either way. :)

I'm outtie! This post was brought to you by the letters U, D, Q, and the number 4.

I'm game, but I have gotten pickier about books in my old age. Fantasy, not a lot of sex or violence, humor, good character development, and a solid theme with some mystery elements thrown in. Can you find a book that fits the bill? I enjoyed the Harry Potter books and the DaVinci Code. Atlas Shrugged was good, but the sex was not necessary and really superficial. Enders Game would have been good, but tearing out the giant's eye and crawling through it left me cold. An online bookclub sounds great!

I like book reviews! Let's hear them!

And if you want a book recommendation, I'd recommend the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. Funny, funny books. (And they're fantasy, which is almost always a plus.)

Hey, alacrity was a vocab word last year! I would've gotten extra credit in English if youd've said it a few months ago... just sayin'! That reading thing sounds fun, it'll make me feel smarter.

Well OK then... It looks like you're all in favor of some reviews... I'll take a look at what I have and figure out what I'm gonna review first. :)

Oh yeah, it looked like you shoved a box down inside the trash can. Maybe the box was wedged in there tight enough that it kept the trash from actually being emptied. Only a theory. Not an accusation or anything negative.

I thought that may have been the case at first, but I easily pulled the box out of the trash so it wasn't wedged. It's not in there anymore in case it was a factor. I just hope we don't overflow before trash day comes around again. :)

I think the trash men oughtta check if the can only half empties. Even if something IS stopping up the system, they should still EMPTY the TRASH, which is what they get PAID for, right?

I wholeheartedly agree!
