Still a statistic.

Well, It's been 2 months since I was so unceremoniously laid off. Can I just tell you that it was at the beginning of the worst time of the year for finding a new job? Yeah, well, I've been unemployed for 2 months and I'm not happy about it at all.

I can tell you all this one thing, however, office politics absolutely sucks!!! Yes, folks, it was office politics in the corporate HQ that cost me my job. My salary was cutting into someone's bonus I suppose. Oh well. I was becoming disenchanted with that place anyway. The feeling there was moving in a toxic direction.

Anyway, I'm in Salt Lake City and looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator position in a Windows environment. I think I'll just go ahead and spend some of the money to take the exams so I can have the piece of paper that says I know what I'm doing. That piece of paper also allows me to add a bunch of letters after my name. :) I think I'll go for the MCITP Cert and build it up so that I can build up some interest.

I'd just like to extend my appreciation to you all (what 3 of you now?) for continuing to read my silliness. Thanks for the messages of support and well wishes.

A Few Things

I have a few things to say.

1st: My son is a year old today! YAY! Pretty soon, he'll be getting into trouble like I did when I was a wee little one. :)

2nd: I hate UTAH! I have another sinus infection and it's because of all the weather turmoil and unnaturally dry air here in Utah. I'll live through it, of course, but I really hate this particular feeling. :(

3rd: I apologize again for taking so long to post again. Too much going on and not enough well time. I'll try to do better, but we all know my track record here. :)

4th: The thumb is healing nicely. Now it just looks like there is an old scar except it isn't old and it's still a bit on the tender side. In another month or so, I'm sure it'll be fine.

5th: I have to remember to change my password on my laptop. Apparently, my son hacked it and posted to his own blog as me. I think we'll have to have some words. It can wait until tomorrow, so I don't ruin his birthday. :) Silly little boy.

Frakking State!

Have I told you kind people lately, that I hate the state of Utah? No, then let me say it again. I HATE THIS FRAKKING STATE!

Between the frakked up weather, the overwhelming number of idiot drivers, absolute lack of humidity, and the utter absence of the color green, I am convinced that God saw this place and decided "Ick!"

WTF!?!?!

I HATE UTAH WEATHER!

If I've said that before, please forgive the repetition. If I haven't said so in a while, please allow me to say it again. The weather here SUCKS!!! I hate the fact that yesterday it was 80 degrees outside and today there big fat snowflakes falling to the ground at an astonishing rate with 35 degree temperatures.

WTF!

Why can't we have a steady, gradual change to the seasons like other parts of the country? I was hoping to be done with snow and the like until the latter parts of the year. Sheesh!
